Trompe l'oeil and murals are very often associated for the good reason that a lot of murals have an element of trompe l'oeil in their composition.

Trompe l'oeil means literally to trick/fool the eye, it can happen by the illusion of a three dimensional effect on a two dimensional surface.

From a flat wall, with a game of lights and shadows, you get architectural elements such as windows, doors, arches, pilasters, ornaments as well as ceilings vaults. This will give a tremendous sense of space to any room.

Murals, also called panoramic, are large scale paintings realized either right on the surface-on site- or on canvas to be sized later on onto the wall-in studio.

Whether you have a precise or vague idea for a mural, the first step is for me to understand your needs, for you to give me information after which we establish a plan. I realize renderings for your approval and then...it's time to create!
